24.9.1007 TEXTBOOKS AND INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS (1) Textbooks and instructional materials are part of an educational program and as such are considered to be part of the terms and conditions or privileges provided by an educational institution under the Montana Human Rights Act and the Governmental Code of Fair Practices. Nothing in these rules shall be interpreted as requiring or prohibiting or abridging in any way the use of particular textbooks or instructional materials. However, the commission encourages educational institutions to utilize textbooks and instructional materials that portray males and females in a wide variety of occupational, emotional and behavioral situations and in the full range of their human potential.
