23.3.153 MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT INSTRUCTION PERMIT
(1) The motor vehicles division may, in its discretion, after the applicant
has successfully passed all parts of the motorcycle endorsement examination
other than the driving test, issue to the applicant a motorcycle endorsement
instruction permit, which entitles the applicant, while having the permit in
his immediate possession, to drive his motorcycle on public highways for a
period of 6 months when under the immediate and proximate control of a licensed
operator or chauffeur who has a motorcycle endorsement.
(2) A permit holder is under the immediate and proximate control of a
licensed operator or chauffeur who has a motorcycle endorsement if the
accompanying driver can see the permit holder, and is 300 feet or less from the
permit holder operating his motorcycle.
