(1) An applicant for a temporary license as a life insurance agent under the provisions of section 33-17-216 , MCA, shall take the written qualification examination, in accordance with section 33-17-212 , MCA, within 30 days after issuance of the temporary license. An applicant who fails to pass the required written examination within the time allowed forfeits his temporary license and all fees paid in connection therewith.
