(1) An entity offering a continuing education course intended to fulfill the requirements of ARM 17.56.1407, or an installer planning to take the course, must submit a detailed description of the course to the department for approval of the course at least 15 days before the beginning of the course.

(2) The department shall approve the continuing education course if it finds that it:

(a) is relevant to the subject area of installation, management, inspection, regulation, or closure of underground storage tank systems; and

(b) offers instruction on current technology or methods for the subject(s) in (2)(a) and that technology or those methods will satisfy applicable department rules.
