(1) The APRN committee of the board is composed of at least three board members, and includes at least one APRN.
(2) The committee or its designee reviews and approves all applications from individuals seeking advanced practice licensure and/or prescriptive authority.
(3) The committee or its designee may recommend action by the full board on nonroutine applications.
(4) The APRN committee or its designee perform random audits of continuing education requirements for APRNs during each two-year renewal period. Audits involve 10 percent of licensees in each APRN category of NP, CNM, CRNA, and CNS.
