(1) Owners and operators shall use an UST system made of or lined with materials that are compatible with the substance stored in the UST system. Owners and operators storing alcohol blends shall use the following codes to comply with the requirements of this rule:
(a) American Petroleum Institute Publication 1626, "Storing and Handling Ethanol and Gasoline-Ethanol Blends at Distribution Terminals and Service Stations;" and
(b) American Petroleum Institute Publication 1627, "Storage and Handling of Gasoline-Methanol/Cosolvent Blends at Distribution Terminals and Service Stations."
(2) The department adopts and incorporates by reference the version in effect on July 1, 2006, of the following publications:
(a) American Petroleum Institute Publication 1626, "Storing and Handling Ethanol and Gasoline-Ethanol Blends at Distribution Terminals and Service Stations," which sets forth requirements for storing and handling regulated substances at UST facilities, a copy of which may be obtained from API Publications Department, 1220 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20005, (202) 682-8375; and
(b) American Petroleum Institute Publication 1627, "Storage and Handling of Gasoline-Methanol/Cosolvent Blends at Distribution Terminals and Service Stations," which sets forth requirements for storing and handling regulated substances of UST facilities, a copy of which may be obtained from API Publications Department, 1220 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20005, (202) 682-8375.
