24.201.2137 CREDIT FOR FORMAL SELF-STUDY PROGRAMS (1) Interactive self-study programs shall receive continuing education credit equal to the average completion time, if the sponsor is recognized and approved by NASBA's CPE quality assurance service (referred to as a NASBA QAS sponsor) or NASBA's national registry of CPE sponsors (referred to as a NASBA registry sponsor). An interactive self-study program is designed to use interactive learning methodologies that simulate a classroom learning process that provides significant ongoing, interactive feedback to the participant regarding the participant's learning progress.
(a) All other interactive and noninteractive self-study programs receive continuing education credit equal to one-half of the average completion time.
(2) Individuals claiming credit for such formal self-study courses are required to obtain evidence of satisfactory completion of the course from the program sponsor.
