(1) All boxing contests and bouts must be approved by the department.

(2) The department or department representative will approve only those bouts:

(a) in which the contestants are fairly matched;

(b) where there are no concerns regarding the safety and welfare of either boxer; and

(c) where the following information is similar between the boxers:

(i) boxing record;

(ii) boxing experience;

(iii) boxing skill; and

(iv) physical condition.

(3) The department shall notify the promoter when a boxing bout/contest is approved.
