(1) Swine owners, dealers, or others required by federal law to identify their swine as a condition to move them interstate may be assigned federally designated code numbers by the department of livestock. Such numbers will be assigned upon request made to the department of livestock, animal health division, capitol station, Helena, Montana, 59601.

(2) A list of code numbers already assigned may be obtained by contacting the animal health division of the department of livestock.
