(1) Adequate facilities must be provided for the disposal of blood in a sanitary manner. When bleeding troughs are used they must be long enough to catch the blood during the bleeding process and must be cleaned daily. Such troughs must be installed to be of sufficient capacity for a day's operation at peak production, or else be flushed continuously.
