(1) The rules in this chapter pertain to tattooing and body piercing establishments under Title 50, chapter 48, MCA, that are licensed by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. Unless otherwise specified by the rules of the local health authority, the rules in this chapter do not apply to tattooing and body piercing establishments that are licensed solely by local boards of health pursuant to 50-48-203, MCA.
