(1) Unless otherwise authorized by the Commission, each utility shall provide and
install at its own expense and shall continue to own, maintain, and operate all
equipment necessary for the regulation and measurement of water, in accordance
with tariff or contract provisions, to its consumers. Where additional meters are
requested by the consumer and are furnished by the utility for the convenience
of the consumer, a charge for such meters may be made to the consumer.
(2) The utility will not make collections
for any secondary meters, and all water rents of any single meter must be paid
by one consumer when supplied by meter measurement from one service. The
utility, however, may enclose the readings of secondary meters with the bill
for the single meter service.
(3) In no case will the utility furnish
water from one meter to two or more connections, except where master metering is
being used.
(4) The utility may install or replace any
meter at such time as it may see fit and shall determine the size of any meter
installed.
